This is how we pass the time on those HOT summer days....
So, Jenny and the boys came over to play today! It got kinda hot outside, so we came inside and...played in my mother-in-laws wheel chair!!

Labor Day Weekend
We had a pretty mellow Labor Day weekend....We BBQ'ed with 2 of my friends from High School, Julia and Desiree and their hubbies, David and Gerry. Julia brought along her adorable kids, Mateo and Natalia. Lea and Cade also came by to hang out...
Apparently, I am not too great at this blogging. I can't seem to get my photos in chronological order...We actually BBQ'ed on Sunday, and then went to Disneyland on Monday. The pics are all out of order...

Oh look at that hair!!
Look at my new playhouse!
I have been so bad about updating the blog in the last 2 weeks! Nothing really exciting has been going on...Here are some photos of Jake playing in the backyard. I will say we have had a major hair growth spurt! All of a sudden he has tight little curls....uhoh...he is fated to have his mommy's hair! The one thing he got from me! Sorry Jakey!

Pop Jets and Park Day
We went to the park today with Jenny, Jack and Liam, and our moms group. The park is a combination regular park, and pop jet-water spout park. Jake would get all wet, playing in the water, then go and run to the sand and back and forth. He had a blast, but he ended up looking like a major dirt baby. You'd be proud of me though..I didn't freak out, I just let him do his little dirt baby thing...
Enjoying a cool treat with his buddy Liam...

Splish Splash!
The popsicle felt so good on his canine teeth that are popping through!
My little dirt baby!

Bonjour San Francisco
Jake, Mike and I travelled to San Francisco last week(end). We got to spend time with my dad and his wife Shelley, and our cousins, the Ohayons (whom we ADORE) visiting from France. We arrived late Thursday night after a 9 hour drive. This was our first roadtrip with baby Jake. It went reasonably well...We made several stops along the way so that he could stretch his little legs. My favorite stop was Andersons Pea Soup, a truckstop about 2.5 hours outside of the city.
We had so much fin visiting all of the touristy attractions. It's such an odd feeling to be a tourist in your own state!? Highlights included; Fishermans Wharf, Pier 30, Lombard Street, China Town, Market Street, Union Square, the Exploratoriam (museum), and Sausalito to name a few. We also rode a cable car from Market street all the way to Fishermans Wharf. We also got to cross both the Bay Bridge and Golden Gate bridge, which are tremendous to say the least.
Jake has dveloped an obsession with balloons. You will notice he as one in many photos. He also loves semi-trucks, fire trucks and busses. (I am hoping down the line, that translates to a career designing large vehicles, and not being a truck driver.)
We really had a great time...we survived on of my big fears...a roadtrip with a toddler.
Here are just some of the pics we took...
Being silly in the hotel room...

Ball Heaven!
The Cable Car...
Believe it or not that is the Golden Gate Bridge...
The Exploratorium
